I know we’ve talked about the over usage of cgi in the mcu (and how their costumes were cgi’d on) but on the other side of this– the actual costuming. in the avengers ensemble films the characters were never given stylized / personalized outfits. its always just “dress everyone in a solid muted color. to mix it up steve can wear an ugly plaid shirt”

look at logan howlett. the jackets. the collared shirts. the jeans. the white tank top always peaking out. the belt buckles
or peacemaker exclusively wearing band shirts and tight jeans on his time off
hank mccoy wearing more generic and subdued looks bc he’s a bit nerdy and doesn’t want to stand out
negasonic teenage warhead and her teenage angst
harley quinn wearing bright and color statement pieces (but always something she can run in)
versus
(I do realize that in smaller projects they have a more stylized sense of fashion but having them all dress the same is ??)

This is what happens when they’re determined to make no actual binding choices until post-production. 90% of this should have been hammered out in pre-production, but that would mean making a decision and sticking with it.
